Our expertise

Media Relations (including Press Relations and Media Training)

Our media relations team grew up with the people who run the media. They are credible, influential and have a reputation among journalists for providing real and relevant news.

We’re bombarded by news. The more news delivery mechanisms there are, the more news is needed. The market is insatiable. So you may believe every piece of news you send to the media is a dead cert to be published. Not so.

News establishes brands, causes sell-outs at school fetes, changes laws, alters perceptions, destroys or upholds reputations, entertains. News is powerful and valuable. So virtually every element of society believes it has a news story to tell. So they bombard journalists with post and emails. And those same journalists vote with their trash bins and delete buttons, because they feel no shame in wiping out hard-thought-through news from people who, in their eyes, have no reputation.

So how does any news make it into the papers at all?

Our approach is to sit down with our clients and help define and develop their media messages. We then identify where those messages need to be heard and work out the best route to get them landed. We’ll also put our clients through media training, preparing them on the best way to one-on-one communication with the media. We map out the media tours and we put in place the tools to track and analyse media coverage.

And then we pick up the phone, and speak to the people we know - frontline journalists - and provide them with your news, the real news.
