All About Brands launches its first CSR review

AAB reports on social and environmental performance

 

Today All About Brands launched its first CSR review.  The Group has reported not only on its social and environmental performance for 2010, but also against the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).  The report serves as the Group's first Communication on Progress to the United Nations since signing up to the world's largest global citizenship initiative last year.
 

Commenting on the publication of the report, All About Brands' chairman, Allan Biggar, said:
 

"2010 was a milestone for All About Brands.  In our fourth year of operation, we put in place our first corporate responsibility plan and, as part of this initiative, we became signatories of the UN Global Compact.
 

"We believe we've made a good start.  In the area of community, we believe we are punching above our weight, while we would like to have made better progress on our environmental performance.
 

"In the area of human rights and upholding standards, we believe we've put in sensible measures and are making good progress.
 

"Looking ahead, we want to improve our performance, notably on the environment, and building in more effective measurement will be our priority in 2011."
